Graphic links are initially undersirable especially when related to text driven search engines. However more and more search engines are now identifying graphical banner links using their 'Alt' tags, which are alternative tags used to display text information about any particular graphic component on a web site.
Similarly to text links the graphic links should be Static if they are to benefit you on the search engines. One great advantage of banner links is that they are more likely to be clicked on by visitors than text links especially if they are of good quality.
Banner links are usually chosen to be in Animated GIF format which is a type of picture file that is animated when it is created by such graphics software as Macromedia Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop. The size of a standard banner link is 468 x 60 pixels. Though Button links can be of different size. Below is the code for our Button link.
